Understanding CME Credit Transfer Delays: How IAME Ensures Your CME Credits Are Safeguarded

Understanding CME Credit Transfers at IAME

At IAME, credit transfers are handled through our proprietary CMEGenius technology, built to submit your completed credits directly to accrediting bodies like ARDMS, ACCME, and CCI. Most transfers go through without any issue, but delays do occasionally happen, and we want to be straightforward about why and what we do about it.

Why Delays Sometimes Occur

The most common cause is a mismatch in profile information. Our system matches your completed credits to your accrediting body account using your registered name, date of birth, and member number. If any of that information is off, even slightly, the transfer can stall. Before anything else, it's worth logging into your IAME profile to confirm everything is accurate.

Beyond profile issues, delays can come from the receiving institution's end. During high-volume periods, particularly the end-of-year rush as December 31 approaches, accrediting body systems can slow down or become temporarily unavailable. These are factors outside our control, but our system is designed to account for them.

What You Can Do

Two things help prevent most transfer issues:

  • Verify that your IAME profile matches your ARDMS, ACCME, or CCI registration exactly, including your name, date of birth, and member number.

  • During peak periods, allow up to two weeks for credits to appear in your account.

If something doesn't look right, our customer care team is actively monitoring transfers and coordinating with accrediting bodies. Reach out and we'll look into it directly.

Your credits are in good hands. That's not a marketing line, it's what our technology and team are here to make true.
