This tool implements ACR TI-RADS scoring as described by Tessler et al. (2017) and is intended for use by qualified radiologists, endocrinologists, and clinicians as a decision-support aid only. It does not replace clinical judgment, complete clinical evaluation, or institutional protocol.
Clinicians should also consult Haugen et al. (2016) ATA guidelines and integrate patient-specific risk factors including personal/family history of thyroid malignancy, prior neck irradiation, and clinical examination findings.
