Course Overview

This course explores AV fistulas and grafts for hemodialysis, emphasizing duplex ultrasound for planning, maturation assessment, and troubleshooting to optimize dialysis access and patient outcomes.


Course Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will:

  • Understand AVF/AVG usage for hemodialysis access

  • Understand preoperative considerations for AVF planning

  • Understand evaluation of AVF/AVG in the immediate perioperative period


Target Audience

  • Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.
