Principles of Vascular Sonography
Course Overview
Learn the fundamentals of vascular sonography, including sonographic imaging techniques, Doppler ultrasound, and their applications in vascular diagnostics. Understand the principles of ultrasound, Doppler shift, and spectral-Doppler displays for evaluating blood flow, stenosis, and resistance. Master essential skills for diagnosing vascular conditions effectively.
Course Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will:
Describe the primary components of sonographic imaging: ultrasound, transducers and instruments.
Explain how the Doppler Effect is applied in sonography
Describe anatomic imaging formats and Doppler presentation forms.
Target Audience
Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret vascular ultrasound.
