Course Overview

Learn the fundamentals of vascular sonography, including sonographic imaging techniques, Doppler ultrasound, and their applications in vascular diagnostics. Understand the principles of ultrasound, Doppler shift, and spectral-Doppler displays for evaluating blood flow, stenosis, and resistance. Master essential skills for diagnosing vascular conditions effectively.

Course Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will:

  • Describe the primary components of sonographic imaging: ultrasound, transducers and instruments.

  • Explain how the Doppler Effect is applied in sonography

  • Describe anatomic imaging formats and Doppler presentation forms.

Target Audience

  • Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret vascular ultrasound.
