Course Overview

This course provides a practical, common-sense approach to understanding tendon imaging with ultrasound. Learn to identify normal and abnormal tendon structures, evaluate pathology, and apply key ultrasound techniques for accurate tendon assessment, improving diagnostic confidence and clinical outcomes.

Course Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will:

  • Identify and describe a tendon on ultrasound using appropriate terminology.

  • Identify artifacts that affect tendons and can mimic pathology.

  • Identify tendonitis, tendinosis, tenosynovitis, and tendon tears.

Target Audience

  • Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.
