Course Overview

This course offers an in-depth exploration of advanced fetal cardiac screening techniques, highlighting the importance of the three-vessel view (3VV) and three-vessel-trachea view (3VTV). Participants will learn to enhance diagnostic accuracy and early detection of congenital heart diseases by incorporating these views into standard screening practices. Emphasis is placed on practical applications and improving outcomes for fetal cardiac health.

Course Objectives

  • To provide a comprehensive understanding of the fetal heart three-vessel trachea views in prenatal ultrasound imaging, including their significance and clinical implications.

  • To familiarize participants with the typical anatomical features and measurements within the fetal heart three-vessel view plane, such as the pulmonary artery, aorta, and superior vena cava, enabling them to accurately assess normal development.

  • To enhance participants’ ability to identify and differentiate between various abnormal types of fetal heart three-vessel trachea views, enabling early detection and diagnosis of potential cardiac anomalies.

  • To improve participants’ knowledge of potential causes and implications associated with abnormal fetal heart three-vessel trachea views, facilitating appropriate counseling and management strategies for expectant parents.

Target Audience

  • Physicians

  • Sonographers

  • Others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.
