Event Overview

In-person lectures, interactive discussions with orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal radiology collaboration. Scientific program integrates with expedition itinerary to build comradery and enhance the learning enviroment. Description: This accredited continuing medical education (CME) activity combines orthopaedic and musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology education with a unique Antarctic expedition. It features keynote speakers and focuses on advanced topics in MSK imaging, pathology, and clinical management. The program includes lectures on crystal arthropathy, glenohumeral joint instability, bone and cartilage injuries, rotator cuff abnormalities, meniscus function, degenerative and inflammatory spinal disorders, medical malpractice, and radiology report terminology, and more.

Objectives

  1. Evaluate and Apply the latest diagnostic and imaging techniques for complex musculoskeletal disorders.

  2. Formulate evidence-based treatment plans for managing challenging joint and axial skeleton conditions.

  3. Appraise the differential diagnosis and management strategies for various forms of arthritis.

  4. Integrate non-clinical principles of practice management, leadership, and resilience.

Target Audience

Orthopedic Surgeons, Radiologists, Sports Medicine Physicians, and other practitioners that view and interpret musculoskeletal radiology and perform or participate in orthopedic surgery and imaging and procedures.
