Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformation Course


Course Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will:

  • Discuss the pathophysiology of congenital pulmonary airway malformation.

  • Review the subtypes of congenital pulmonary airway malformation.

  • Outline the differential diagnosis of an echogenic lung mass.

  • Identify the sonographic findings associated with congenital pulmonary airway malformation.

  • Discuss potential fetal therapy for specific types of congenital pulmonary airway malformations.

  • Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.
