Course Overview

This course covers the fetal diagnosis of Hypoplastic Right Heart, including conditions such as tricuspid atresia, pulmonary atresia, and pulmonary stenosis. Learn about the sonographic evaluation of these congenital heart defects, their associated abnormalities, and diagnostic techniques to improve prenatal detection.


Course Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will:

  • List the common cardiac defects not detected on a four-chamber view.

  • Identify the sonographic signs of a hypoplastic right heart.

  • Discuss the pathophysiology of pulmonary stenosis/atresia, in contrast to tricuspid atresia.


Target Audience

  • Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret obstetrical ultrasound.
