
Fetal Intracranial Anomalies
Course Overview
This course covers the diagnosis and assessment of fetal intracranial anomalies, which are common congenital conditions. It explores conditions such as ventriculomegaly, anencephaly, holoprosencephaly, and agenesis of the corpus callosum, along with imaging techniques used for diagnosis. Learn to identify these abnormalities using ultrasound and their associated risk factors.
Course Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will:
Develop a systematic approach to assess the fetal intracranial anatomy using the three axial planes.
Recognize some of the supratentorial and infratentorial CNS lesions one may encounter during the fetal anatomical survey.
Target Audience
Physicians, sonographers, and others who perform and/or interpret ultrasound.
