Course Overview
This course covers the critical aspects of twin gestation, including the determination of chorionicity and amnionicity using first trimester ultrasound, the implications of growth discordancy, and fetal biometry in twins. Learn to distinguish between monochorionic and dichorionic pregnancies, understand the role of placental abnormalities, and assess amniotic fluid, growth restriction, and intrauterine fetal development. With a focus on monochorionic twins and the risks of conditions like twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, this course provides a comprehensive approach to monitoring and managing twin pregnancies from early detection through to delivery. Ideal for healthcare professionals involved in prenatal care.

After completing this activity, the participant will:
Describe the etiology of and how to determine chorionicity and amnionicity of twin pregnancy.
Recognize patterns of growth discordancy in monochorionic and dichorionic twins.
Improve the outcome of twin pregnancy through the use of ultrasound to recognize the 'at risk' population.
