Course Overview

This webinar focuses on the mechanisms of mitral regurgitation (MR) and the methods used to quantify its severity. It covers the pathophysiology of MR, exploring both primary causes, such as valve disease, and secondary causes, such as left ventricular dysfunction or annular dilation. The session includes detailed discussions on the various diagnostic tools, including echocardiography, Doppler ultrasound, and other imaging techniques, to assess the regurgitant volume and determine the clinical significance of MR.
