Course Objectives

After completing this course, the participant should be able to:

  • describe breast imaging with ultrasound, including anatomy, technical aspects, indications and findings
  • discuss the ACRIN 6666 results and the ultrasound lexicon as published by the ACR
  • describe the role of screening ultrasound and procedures under ultrasound guidance
  • describe the biopsy procedure under stereotactic and MRI
  • discuss biopsy techniques including core, fine needle and vacuum assisted

Accreditation

This course is approved for 3 SDMS credits, which can be applied toward ARRT Category A requirements. Approval# 20445. If you choose to take the quiz for SDMS credit you will need to access the certificate for it at the SDMS website through a link that will be provided for you in Your Online CME Control Panel. Your SDMS credits may take up to one week to process but your certificate will show the date that you passed the quiz.
