The cord finding is only half the answer. The clinical power comes from the context: isolated versus non-isolated, fetal growth pattern, amniotic fluid, Doppler status, and image certainty. ³˒⁴

Undulating, rope, segmented and linked are all variations of a hypercoiled umbilical cord.
